Some of the more frequently requested test subjects are detailed below but these are by no means exhaustive.
Allergens
The presence of undeclared allergens in foods has become a major issue for many sectors of the food industry. We can offer state-of-the-art ELISA and PCR based tests to test for many allergens in a wide range of foods and drink, including all of the14 groups contained in the ‘EU-list of major allergens.’
Elemental/Minerals Analysis
We can offer cost-competitive low-level analysis of virtually any mineral element, including popular elements such as copper, magnesium, zinc, sodium, potassium, iron, phosphorus and selenium.
Nutritional Labelling Analysis
Analytical determination of macro- and micro- nutrients in a food product for the substantiation of labelling claims is a key requirement of the food industry. We can offer the required tests – total fat and fatty acid profile, moisture, carbohydrate, protein, fibre, ash, sodium/salt and energy at competitive prices.
Microbiological Analysis
We can offer a wide range of microbiological tests including total viable count (TVC), aerobic spore formers and yeasts & moulds. Many other organisms can be offered if required.
Genetically modified material (GMO)
We can offer tests utilising state-of-the-art PCR technology for the detection of genetically modified material in a food product.
